Your privacy
This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to the details you give us on this website. It is written to meet the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
Nothing beyond the boxes you fill in. A name and a phone number are needed to call you back; an email address, a suburb, the type of job and a note about the problem are up to you. The site does not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies that follow you around the web.
Why we collect it
So we can call you about the fault, book a visit if you want one, and quote and bill for work you approve. Nothing else. No one buys or borrows your details from us, and you will not find yourself on a newsletter.
Who else handles it
When you press send, the form is passed through our website host and an email delivery service so that it reaches us. They process it only to deliver the message. If work goes ahead and an insurer is involved, details about the job are shared with that insurer only when you ask us to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while the job is live. If work is done, the invoice and the details on it stay on file for the period tax law sets for business records. Enquiries that never become a job are deleted.
Your rights
POPIA gives you the right to see the details we have on you, to have mistakes fixed, and to have them erased unless a law says they must be kept. Ask through the form on any page. Unhappy with how we handled it? The Information Regulator of South Africa takes complaints under POPIA.
Changes
If the way the site handles personal information changes, for example if analytics are added, this page will be updated first.
